Fox seems to be slowly dropping from my radar these days. Way back in 1990’s it seemed that most everything I watched was on FOX, now not so much.
Monday Nights at 9:00 is Sleepy Hollow. I am sort of on the fence with this one. It looks interesting it also seems like Grimm for Fox. I like the idea of updating this classic tale to a modern police procedural. I am just wondering if this will be the first show to go from fox. Is this whole supernatural world crossed with reality thing done? Is the market already saturated with these? I guess only time will tell.
Tuesday night at 8:00 is Dads. This show looks extremely funny. Comedic pros all the way around with this show. You have, from the old school, Martin Mull whose resume includes comedy classics as “FM”, a film that looks at the radio industry of the 1970’s, to modern-day classic like Arrested Development. Alongside Mull you have Peter Riegert. You may remember him from the classic show MASH or the hit movie Animal House. More recently he starred in Damages and One tree hill. These too meet new school comics Giovanni Ribisi and Seth Green. I may be sticking my neck out on this but I think this is an instant hit.
At 8:30 following dads is Brooklyn 99. I want this to work but cop comedies are so tough. Besides Barney Miller I can’t really think of a single one. I like Andy Samberg I think he is innovative and funny. I got my fingers crossed on this one.
That is it until we get to Sunday night which is where I am heavy on Fox. At 8:00 as it has been since 1989 The Simpsons. I am absolutely shocked this is still on the air. I really think we are all playing a giant game of chicken here. We are not going to stop watching it until it goes off the air and Fox seems like they will not take it off the air until we stop watching it. This is a classic case of “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it”. the stories are always funny and make me laugh. By the way does Homer even have a job any more or is it like the baby on breaking bad,’ only there when necessary. I will tune for this until I die or it’s cancelled whichever comes first.
At 9:00 is Family Guy. This I watch just to see what they will get away with this week. I can’t believe that this show is on the air based on the content alone. How do they get away with having an obvious pedophile on the air? And Quagmire? How does Quagmire get away with his clearly deviant sexual comments and desires? I am so confounded by this. Can someone tell something, do they know the dog talks or not? To me this is really a train wreck. Every week I slow down and look because where else am I going to bodies mangled like that?
At 9:30 is American Dad. Not as racy as Family Guy, or at least as consistently racy as Family Guy. This show feels like the bastard offspring of The Simpsons and Family Guy. Of the three Sunday night shows from Fox I think this one really is my favorite.
That is Fox for me this fall. Did I miss one you like? Let me know in the comment section.

according to http://www.tvguide.com/special/fall-preview/fall-preview-a-z.aspx this show will start in November. As it is J.J. Abrams, Sci-fi, and i am interested in it my bet is it ends up in my “gone too soon part 2” post
