It’s the most wonderful time of the year: CBS new shows this fall

Let me start by saying the way CBS has their website set up for the fall schedule seems a bit clunky. Wonder what that says about their lineup. What does CBS have for us this fall? Let’s take a look shall we.

scorpionScorpion: A group of hackers, for lack of a better term, will be out to save the day. Seriously CBS keeps trying to marry technology and the action drama; however this time I think they may have it. A genius leads the group of geniuses his only real qualification to lead would appear to be his social ability. Form the short clip available on CBS.com it would appear that our leader’s only qualification to lead is that he is not as quirky as the others on the team. Seriously though this looks good, of course I said that about Intelligence and look where that is. I will definitely tune in to see where this is going and if CBS will get it right.

ncis-new-orleans-official-trailer1NCIS New Orleans: The new Law and Order. This will be the third in my count, have I missed one? This has some potential. I am not currently watching and of the NCIS shows but this one could get. I like Scott Bakula and it looks to be set in a nice party location. If you are fan of the other two then this is really a no brainer. It will be more of the same. I would be willing to check this out. How bad can a crime drama be? My current viewing schedule is littered with them.

stalkerStalker: This definitely has the creep factor working for it. At play here also is we now live in such a narsasitic society that of course we are ALL in danger of being stalked. I am not making light of the issue as it is a serious issue, but an entire law enforcement division? Maggie Q and Dylan McDermott are a pair of investigators who play by their own rules, even if Maggie Q thinks her rules are more superior to McDermott’s. Again action crime that has a creep fest what’s not to like here. This show is a tough call though. Is it too creepy for most viewers or will it be creepy enough? This could be gone by the end of the season or end up the next big hit with like…I don’t know…three spin offs ten years later.

CSI-Cyber-LogoCSI Cyber: CSI with computers. Patricia Arquette and Michael Irby (the Unit) head up the Cyber division of CSI. Seriously that is all there is on this show. I could not even get the link on CBS.com to work, got to love the irony. I have recently abandoned most of my crime dramas, and have bailed out on CSI a while ago; however this might bring me back. It will be a bunch of quasi nerdy tech speak, just enough to make the average viewer feel smart, coupled with intriguing cases. With the CSI moniker this will last the season, but are we over loaded with dark crime on television? Only time will tell.
That is all I could find worth talking about that is new from CBS this year. Did I miss one you think is worth talking about? Let me know in the comments section. As always vote for your favorite in the poll.
